| Odyssey Systems’ underwater battery
features a 12 volt, 7.0 AH lead-acid battery contained in a molded
plastic housing. The housing and battery are filled with oil
which provides pressure compensation through a flexible diaphram
on one end of the housing. The end of the housing opposite
the black diaphram contains a Subconn underwater electrical connector
for power out and re-charging.
The batteries measure approximately 4.3” x 5.1” x 11.6”
long. Dual battery housings, pictured at right, which are
twice as long, are available for 24 volt power or double capacity
at 12 volts.
