TSS (UK) Ltd is a small private company employing 45 people in a mixture of disciplines including, Research & Development, Customer Service, Sales and Marketing and Administration. Headquartered in an 18th Century Mill on the outskirts of Witney, near Oxford, England the company has offices in Houston, Texas and Aberdeen, Scotland. TSS are represented by a world-wide network of agents & distributors, the majority of whom have received extensive factory training including Front Line Service, Installation & Product training. Founded in 1978, the company has been dedicated to providing technology to the Hydrographic community with an emphasis on the improvement of Survey operations by removing the errors attributable to motion artefacts. Originating with the 300 series Swell Filter, TSS has designed and brought into service the most revolutionary Marine Motion Sensors in the past 19 years. Many of these products have become industry standards including the 320 Heave Compensators, Single-axis 321 gimballed sensors, 3-axis 325 solid state sensors, the Intelligent 330 Series & the hugely successful Dynamic Motion Series of sensors (DMS). Revolutionising Multibeam Survey, more than 200 variants of the DMS have been delivered in 18 months. In total there are more than 650 TSS Motion Sensors in the world today. These systems are serving in both Commercial and Military environments encompassing virtually every government hydrographic office and commercial survey company in the world. The most recent addition, provided to complete the entire range of options, has been the Aided Inertial Navigation System package, the POS-MV.The POS-MV is the result of a partnership between two companies, TSS (UK) Ltd and the Applanix Corporation. Applanix, based in Ontario Canada was formed in 1991 on Honeywell’s divestiture of its Canadian Aerospace & Defence operations. Applanix provides research and development services to the Aerospace Industry in Canada, the USA and Internationally. Through its partnership with Applanix, TSS has developed and supplied POS/MV technology to the marine industry for advanced navigation, motion compensation & vessel analysis |
